ANDREA BOYD

Andrea Boyd is the CEO/Owner of Boyd’s Construction &  Consulting  (BCC), one of the most respected Construction Firms in the Hampton Roads area. BCC is  a Class A contractor that is licensed in Residential/Commercial Building and Renovation and Specializes in Mold Remediation, Water Mitigation and Insurance Claims.

As a  Black Owned Female Construction Firm Owner, she knows only one mode: GO! A natural competitor, she leads her business the way she approaches her family life: with passion and fierce determination to overcome any obstacle that comes her way. As her loved ones can attest, she’s always been this way, but perhaps it was becoming a young, single mom while pursuing her Bachelors in Public Administration at North Carolina Central University that taught her what it means to persevere when the odds seem against you. It’s exactly why she forged ahead and pursued her dreams then, and it’s why she’s been able to dedicate 10+ years to learning and growing within the construction industry.

Andrea began her career in Corporate America, working within Companies such as : Bell Atlantic, Verizon, and Bank of America to name a few. She credits her experience learned in the different lines of business’s which ranged from telecommunications, sales, advertising and banking to transforming her ideas while constructing her own businesses.

Her drive is fueled by her desire to operate in alignment with her core values of integrity, authenticity and accountability. Her areas of expertise consist of: research, client relations, and culture branding. She has been instrumental in the strategic planning of BCC’s growth and development. Mrs. Boyd oversees strategic planning, marketing, public relation, and business development for Boyd’s Construction & Consulting. She is the primary point of contact for the BCC’s clients. Andrea refers to herself as the “Firefighter” of the organization.’

Andrea was honored to be one of 16 statewide SWaM certified (Small, Women Owned, and Minority Owned) businesses selected to participate in the Streetwise MBA program, administered by the Virginia Department of SBSD (Small Business and Supplier Diversity) to scale and grow their organization. One of her many accolades is being  honored by Coastal Virginia Magazine, with their Community Impact Award on her work within the community.

In addition to her commitment to God, family and Boyd’s Construction, her passion lies in people, specifically young ladies. Andrea works to inspire them to transform into powerful women, encouraging teenage mothers to keep growing and provides strategies to low income families, through education and support. Andrea is an interactive person. Not only will she provide you with information, but will hold your hand through the whole process. Her motto is: Make your mark! Don’t leave this earth without giving the world something positive to remember you by.
